Me and my boyfriend stayed here to celebrate his birthday. We stayed in the Dom Suite and had the most amazing time. The room was unreal, so much detail and so spacious. The hot tub in the room was gorgeous and the hot tub outside was just perfect. Everything was so cozy, quiet and peaceful. We ordered room service and the food was 10/10. I had separately booked for the room to be decorated through “Party with Mrs P” on Instagram and we were so so happy with the decorations. We will definitely be staying here again and will 100% recommend PartyWithMrsP to my friends and family.

We have stayed here many times, in a few different rooms but we must say the Lodge is a personal favourite, as it is extra private and further away from the other rooms

If you’re lucky you’ll see the rabbits running along the field from the outdoor hot tub OR the indoor spa bath!

The food here is AMAZING as well, we always go for steak (sometimes lobster too) and breakfast and a bottle of champagne is included in every stay!

There are lots of options at breakfast as well as the food is all locally sourced which we appreciate!

The location is far out of the way which we like but you do have to drive through country lanes to get here but it is 100% worth it!

I recently stayed at Who’d A Thought It and was thoroughly disappointed. Who’d a thought it would be so bad!!! Despite the hefty price of £470 for the room and £160 for dinner, the experience was far from luxurious. Both my partner and I fell ill a few hours after consuming oysters from the so-called ‘oyster and champagne bar,’ which was supposed to be a highlight of the stay. The room itself was in a state of disrepair, with the jacuzzi filthy and filled with grit, indicating a serious lack of proper cleaning and maintenance.

For over £600, the experience was a rip-off. The entire place feels outdated, from the decor to the service, which was awkward and downright weird at times. The price suggests a high-end boutique stay, but in reality, it’s more of a dated, underwhelming experience that’s nowhere near worth the money.

I’ve since called three times to resolve this issue and followed up with two emails, yet I have not received a single response from the establishment. This level of customer service—or lack thereof—only adds to the disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, as there are far better, more reasonably priced options elsewhere.

The pub and rooms were all great. The staff friendly and attentive. We had some lovely food.
Our room was one of the newer additions.
It was roomy and decorated to a high standard.
We was in billecart.
The only thing missing was a magnified mirror, which I know is in some of the other rooms.
The hotel itself is in a peaceful, quiet location with nothing around so if you wanted to go out, then there was nothing to really wall to.
We enjoyed our stay and if you have good weather the outside space is where you want to be!!

Absolutely loved this unique boutique hotel.
Our lodge (the Dom suite) was truly unique and the peace and quiet was just sublime (we stayed two nights midweek) loved the double jacuzzi bath and couldn't stay out of our private hot tub.
Not cheap by any means but you get what you pay for.
Breakfasts included but lunches and dinners are extra.
Breakfast was a late time window 9.30 - 11.30 which totally suited us, lunch on arrival day was very good and reasonably priced but dinner we found to be a limited menu and somewhat pricey.
Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely a place to take that someone for a special treat.
We definitely will be back to celebrate another special occasion.

We stayed in the Dom Suite on the 3-4 October as a surprise gift from my wife for my 40th birthday. Upon arriving and first impressions was that, albeit expense, was worth the money. ||When we entered the room, my wife told me to stay in the bathroom as she secretly set up my balloon and some gifts, and it was then, I noticed the blood splatter on the door and the dirt behind the door where it hadn’t been cleaned for some time. I reported this and we were given two cocktails on the house as an apology. I will just list all the issues:||A hairdryer that sounded like it was going to break at any moment.||Dirt marks on the ceiling that looked like someone had been dragged upside down.||A light switch that was not connected to the wall properly.||2 out of 3 lights on the inside hot tub that didn’t work.||Controls on the inside hot tub that didn’t work and had to control the jets from outside the tub using the plugs that attached to the wall with the water proof cover up.||Hand washing bottles that were not full and were very dirty all around and also what was inside was not good. Looked like it had strange bits in. Certainly didn’t want to use them.||The centre lights in the bathroom started flickering.||The left hand sink started leaking on the floor over the LED lights at the bottom.||To finish it off, the breakfast was that bad, we left it and had to stop on the way home to get something to eat. The bacon was hard and dry, even though my wife requested that weren’t, the mushrooms were really bad, the beans were watery, which even thinking about them now, churns my wife’s stomach. ||There were some really positives parts which included the set up and location of the establishment, that Joe spoke to us personally during our dinner to talk about the blood, and the staff were all nice and helpful and we had some drinks provided. The dinner was also incredible.||I am sure that all the things that happened during our stay that made the whole experience quite unpleasant was just a one off and you rarely get negative views about stays. ||Speaking to the receptionist, she told me to compile all the points so they could look at it and I haven’t have a response back, I was either hoping for a slight refund or even an acknowledgment of our stay.

pros: large sized room with beautiful indoor spa bath and outdoor hot tub, huge bed, food was good PM & AM, good coffee machine and bottle of champagne, nice make up area with straighteners and hairdryer. ||cons: decor is a bit on the tacky side so you don’t feel like you’re staying in luxury for the huge price tag, bar set up is odd with regulars and customers and very dark and dingey , WiFi terrible meaning the tv did not work at times, thin walls could hear next doors music, next door to renovation work so could hear that plus their music, water pressure was low in the morning, uncomfy leather chairs in the lounge which look very old, some lights didn’t work, no steam shower as described (was mentioned to reception) would have been nice to have a table and chairs in the room rather than a huge fabric stand. ||The room could have been beautiful if done nicer and maybe a nicer comfier sofa. ||I couldn’t help feel a bit ripped off when we left for the price we paid .. lesson learnt.
