Beautiful trails, we saw multiple ice climbers on the cliffs. Everything was well groomed and maintained. Trails were mostly flat but had a few fun hills to go down (around the challenge course).

The lodge was really warm and beautiful and it looked like it had a cool restaurant to hangout at. I'd go again for sure.

From a wedding photographer's perspective, this was a fabulous venue to host a ceremony and reception. The backdrop is stunning, especially at golden and blue hour, and the "Wedding Island" is hard to beat! The venue itself is elegant and filled with rich wood tones and surrounded by bright, light-filled windows. The staff was excellent and took great care of my couple and their guests. Again from my viewpoint, I did wish that they had more to offer in the way of "getting ready" locations. The single room had to be shared at different times (as not to see the Bride) for both parties to put on their final touches. This room does not offer any windows, so can-lighting (which is a photographer's nemesis) is the light you'll have to contend with, and flashes are highly necessary. All in all, the venue did a brilliant job and was the (near) perfect location to hold a chic, Vail wedding. Check out more photos at Blue Canoe Photography!

I always enjoy snowshoeing here. The trails are groomed perfectly. The views are spectacular. I like it also because it's flat. Bad knees keeps me off the ski slopes, and this is a great alternative.

Trails are nicely groomed and clearly marked. I was surprised to see so many cyclists on the trail. It looked to me like the cross-country ski trails are very nice. There are times when our paths do meet but most times we are separated. Friendly and helpful staff. The sandwich melt at the Gore grill was delicious. You can order sandwiches off the menu or eat at the soup buffet which was also good. The interior was very clean, neat, and tidy throughout.

If it is your first time XC skiing, look no further as Vail Nordic Center had a warm welcome and is willing to teach you the ropes of it all.

The staff were extremely excited to hear how our lesson went and cheered us on as we went back out there to do some more. Chad was an amazing instructor and encourager as we learned the sport. We came back the next day to do some snowshoeing and we were greeted with all smiles. It was an enjoyable experience and the trails were well groomed, maintained and marked.

I arrived early and was able to sign up for the group class. There were 3 of us and our instructor, Bob, was very helpful and patient. I'm very glad I took the class because I wouldn't have figured it out on my own. The facilities were very nice and everyone that worked there was excellent.

This was my first experience with cross country skiing so I decided to take a lesson to avoid breaking anything. The most important aspect of the Nordic Center is how knowledgeable and friendly the staff is. The instructor was patient and kind when correcting my clumsy mistakes, and I felt comfortable trekking out on my own after the class. There are multiple trails for varying skill levels, with spectacular mountain views adding zen to the already serene experience. A must do when visiting Vail.

Love this nordic center, excellent terrain and a lot of long trails! The trails range from completely flat to more challenging ones, so you'll find anything for your skill level or preference, and you can easily run for a few miles without having to do circles. Trails are well-maintained and groomed.
I wish I could go here more often. If you have your own skis, one time use fee is $24 and season pass for non-residents of Vail is $180. Unfortunately, they don't offer discounts for Epic pass holders, like some other Nordic centers do, so this price for season pass is too much for me, given that I don't go to Vail often enough to justify it.
