This place is a very strong support system for the gay community. I like the way they support their community. They just had a huge gay pride gathering this month, and the Utah Pride Center played a major role in organizing and presenting this to the public. I started going to their Wednesday lunch for older people. That my work schedule changed and I wasn't able to return. But I will be able to start going back now starting next week, and I look forward to it

Volunteering here had to be one of the most impactful opportunities in my life. I’m a straight, white, male from Wyoming. In college I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Utah Pride Center, so i took them up on the offer. Since day one i felt overwhelmed with love and appreciation for our volunteer efforts. I didn’t realize the amount of scrutiny they deal with on a daily bases from the surrounding community. No matter who you are and no matter where you come from they will love and treat you as an equal the minute you step through those doors. I was asked to assist in the Pride festival on a larger scale and was amazed by the organization the LGBTQ+ ( ?️‍?) community has to pull off such an amazing festival every year. Thank you for all the great memories and friendships i made while volunteering there for two years!

I felt so welcome as soon as I walked in. Everyone is so accepting and understanding and just overall amazing. Love it here!!! Coming again for sure!!! They even gave me the full tour ?

They don’t really ever pick up their phones, I’ve made a number of attempts in hopes of becoming a volunteer and never was contacted. They seem to have no interest in actually having people to help the LGBTQ community which is ashame, this is the problem I faced in my youth which was having nobody to turn to for support outside of family.

I attended the grand opening of this facility it's an absolutely beautiful building and has a lot to offer the staff and the people we encountered were absolutely wonderful however when we went to Utah Pride we were less than impressed with the lack of professionalism by some volunteers and employees we had our Ada certified service dog with us and we're constantly asked if it was a service dog or not which is really ridiculous because obviously we wouldn't have gotten in the gate if you wasn't a service dog I was extremely annoyed too because they were allowing some man to walk around the snake around his neck which is clearly not a service animal

A very supportive place for those with differences not everyone can see, who has had difficulty being understood for being themselves. Please know, most people DO LOVE YOU, and those who don't just haven't gotten to know you well enough yet. Give them some time. 😉
