To whom it may concern I want to address this facility let it be known I'm going to report you to the county and the state.
Number one your operators don't know how to communicate
Number two they don't know how to hold a conversation
Number 3 they don't pay attention to you when you're talking to them
Number four when they talk to you they talk like a meely mouse and you ask him to speak up they don't acknowledge what you asked them to do
Number five I requested a manager over and over again and they continue to ask me a barrage of questions which I do not want to talk to them anymore.
Customer service on this phone is very exasperating and frustrating.
Don't waste your time with these people don't waste your time even trying to communicate with anybody cuz you just going to be spinning your wheels no wonder they're rating is so low.

The lewis center is not the place to be because I been on their list for months and I'm pregnant and they can't put me in right away and I'm still homeless on the streets and they got everybody else in and I'm still waiting and waiting and the staff is so rude and unprofessional and they don't treat you with respect at all I be crying out for help all the time just to get in the shelter I don't like being out there in the streets it's not healthy for me

They don't have any available emergency shelters for women and children who are homeless living in the streets in West Palm Beach. I contacted them, and they're giving me the run around telling me to call adopt a family, Vickers house, 211 for other resources ?
I have called Saint Vincent de Paul, and they rerouted me back to The Senator D Lewis Center.
The Senator D Lewis Center is like the headquarters that is in charge of helping families help with homeless shelter, but for whatever reason, they refuse to help me and I am here suffering in hell with my teenage child that is attending high school in Palm Beach County. I have a full-time job and is still struggling ? it's not easy all I am asking for is a little assistance to be placed in a shelter .
The Senator D Lewis Center is not doing enough to help women and children in our community.

I been homeless for almost 2 years I made decisions to get my life back in order got on a shelter list I was on list for 6 months before I got in just to be there for almost 3 months I have 3 interviews next week and I start school end of September just to be kicked out for someone falsely accusing me of stealing their debit card and using at a gas station right down the street I was clear by the police last night it was someone who both know even after that still got put out for nothing

I'm currently staying at The Lewis Center and it's been a comfortable stay thus far. I'm about a month into my stay; I do what I'm supposed to - meet with my case manager, obey curfew and ground rules - because of this my stay is pleasant. Meals are served three times a day at the times scheduled - sometimes catered meals by outreach; staff is kind and patient with their tasks and persons staying.

I’ve been at this place for almost 90 day, just to realize there employees are the worst and very unprofessional, staffing is very poor many of the employees do not show justice to the homeless they look at them as if there just another hopeless victim that they get paid for, they don’t help with getting employment, they don’t help with housing or anything else. For any one looking to join this shelter out of desperation of being homeless you’re maybe better off looking towards another solution.

They offer great care at the clinic & really care about your well being. The staff is awesome, they make you feel great when you go in & they know your name, remember the things you said the last time you were in. They will go above & beyond to make sure you have what you need or help you get what you need. It's just a great place to go!!
