When it comes to great Chinese food, it takes flavor… The kind of flavor that kicks you in the mouth and you say thank you!! More please…. The food was hot, but lacked the flavor complexity I desire from great Chinese cuisine. The soup was a bit too thick for most of our liking, so most didn’t eat. The texture was very jellied or coagulated for soup. The Orange chicken was missing the signature orange flavor that is its namesake. The orange beef was really good and not fatty or chewy at all, but still missing the heat and flavor complexity of orange flavored dishes. The black pepper chicken with mushrooms was not bad and had a decent flavor compound. The white rice was good with great chew and bite and not a lot of sticky texture at all. The environment is lacking any real authentic feel, but open and clean. The pricing wasn’t bad and the service was fast. Over all, not a bad place… Will definitely give it another a try soon.

The beef roll is always so delicious, kids love it so much. So it’s the biggest reason we still keep going. Except it, others just so so.
Great things, the dishes are very generous, the price is great.
But service needs to be improved, it looks like not enough employees. The waiting time is so long.

Great food, flavorful, and fresh. Lunch special good price and enough food for two. I ate the orange chicken, lamb chow mein, and 3flavor Kung pao. Great spot will come back to try Ma's short ribs and orange beef.

Ma's house is pretty good as long as you dine in. Most dishes are delicious and served up fairly quickly if they're not too busy. Everything is freshly made. Honey walnut shrimp is one of my favorites. Chow mein is tasty. The beef roll is awesome. Chicken and cream corn soup is good. I've had only one bad dish: stir fried lamb with cumin, it's disgusting.

Good place for Halal Chinese food. The food is excellent in taste no doubt but on the greasy side. We ordered the Hot & Sour soup with chicken, 3 flavor fried rice and Garlic beef with jalapenos. Everything tasted wonderful...
Prices are reasonable as well.
I would surely recommend them to anyone who ways good tasting Chinese food...

I have been to this place many times, this time I went after few years, it wasn't a weekend but they were very busy, we waited for 40 minutes to get the table, which is okay, we order Chicken Fried Rice, Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef, the service wa bad, first they brought soup, then Orange Chicken, now we were waiting for our Rice, by the time Rice came or Chicken got cold, we finished the Orange Chicken and they did not brought the Mongolian Beef, I have to go and ask them that where is our order of Mongolian Beef, the lady said, let me check and then a server brought us the order of Mongolian Beef, I don't have to tell you that by now we our appetite was gone and Rice got cold and the Mangold Beef dosen't taste great, I always order Mongolian Beef here, but this time it wasn't the same rate, I think since the original owner sold this business the Chef and the recipe is changed, there food is not good anymore. I don't think that I will be going there again.

The food used to be great here but that was probably over 10 years ago. Out of all the dishes ordered, only the sesame bread with green onions came out hot and decent. Everything else was either lukewarm, gloopy, bland or salty, the full gamut of awful. The place is still doing brisk business on a Sunday night though, but not sure how.

We've been coming to Mas halal chinese in Orange county for several years as it is a family favorite. The food quality is consistent, served fresh, tasty and halal. The service management could be better. Last few times, they brought food to our table is no order like entrees came first, rice came late, soup came at the end even though we placed the order for everything at the same time. I think they were short staffed but the waiter could have done a better job checking in and make sure order is complete or communicating about delays. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We like the large round tables with the lazy susan that can fit 12 people easily and makes having dinner with a large group of family or friends easy to feed. They also have a private room in the back set up for prayer which is a huge plus for Muslim families. Also there's plenty of parking and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
