Very pretty and well-maintained store, but we didn't have the best experience with buying mens' shoes. As Macy's is one of the stores where guests work with associates to locate specific sizes customers are interested in, I was pretty surprised when the associate in charge of finding male shoes dissapeared after we talked about finding wide-fit shoes. After waiting for her to return for 15 minutes and asking for help, the customer next to my party balked, and I went to the check out area to ask for assistance as I couldn't get a specific pair of shoes myself. Patti was phenomenal, and really improved our experience at Macy's, bringing what was a 1 to a 3! We love her. I never saw the original associate again, so not sure what happened there. 3/5 it is!

My first shopping trip to Macy's was a really great experience. I was looking for a jacket from the I.N.C. collection that I saw online. The salesperson contacted the brand rep who helped me. She then helped me find a blouse to match. I sat on a sofa with my husband outside the dressing room while she selected blouses for me to try. She found the perfect one! I am so appreciative.

I’ve generally had good experiences at Macy’s in the past, but this time was quite disappointing. After waiting about 10 minutes in the men’s shoe department without any assistance, I started a timer, and another 15 minutes went by. During this time, several associates walked by without acknowledging me or offering help.

When I finally got the attention of the associate covering the area, she claimed she hadn’t seen me, even though I was standing in the main walkway. I watched as she assisted two other guests while overlooking me entirely. Another associate in the men’s department also walked past me multiple times without offering any help.

It was only after I placed the shoes I was interested in on a table that an associate asked if I needed assistance. At that point, I decided to report the issue to the men’s department manager. While I understand there may be staffing shortages, that shouldn’t be an excuse for poor customer service—especially when customers are ready to make a purchase.

I wasn’t expecting anything in return; I simply wanted to give feedback. Macy’s should be mindful that there are shoppers who genuinely want to spend money and make purchases, and a simple acknowledgment or offer of help would go a long way.
