Fantastic hospital. Very attentive and very sweet staff. Definitely recommend . I'm extremely happy with their care. I believe they saved my mom's husband life. I can't express how wonderful the nurses are, and the Dr's are extremely attentive to detail, and they listen to how the patient is feeling. I will definitely go to this hospital if I ever have an emergency.

So my husband had surgery found out he was also a diabetic he now has a big hole from them having to drain everything I asked the nurse last night to clean bed sheets they brought me a bunch of folded clean bed sheets as I started spreading out the bed sheets I noticed this sheet was not clean you could feel the crustynes here is a picture it looks like dried s***. The day shift nurse did not tend to him well at all when she got in at 7:00 in the morning she did not come in the room and put her name or number on the board like she is supposed to and check his vitals. He had been calling for a nurse for 3 hours because he was in pain and needed his medicine she did not come Till I call downstairs and got the charge nurse on the phone the charge nurse came in the room gave him his meds and said that she would talk to the nurse. I only seen the nurse one more time that day that was when he got out of surgery and his machine was going off and she said she needed to flush out his IV she never came to do that. He also called her numerous times throughout the day she never came to his room to check on him. There was a night shift nurse three of them that were very good one of them's name was Travis and then there was two other ones that were really good and I found out during night shift the nurse also skipped one of his doses of insulin and she did not even mark down medicines that she gave him or any of his other stuff like she was supposed to so that the next shift knew what was going on. The adult side is horrible. I'm so glad I was here and I was the one that changed his sheets because I could not imagine if bacteria got in that hole with him being diabetic what would have happened.

The restroom most of the time is dirty. Great food. SICU staff are excellent. The doctor and nurses there worked very hard. They took very good care of my mom. He was on his feet all night to take care of my mom. Checked on my mom vital every 5-10 minutes and was very patient with us. Explained everything to us about mom condition. Because of their caring, I had three more weeks with my mom. I am very grateful to all the nurses who took great care of my mom all the time she was there. Once again, I was like to thank you for all their dedication.

7 Months pregnant, having severe stomach pain, sent them a message 8 am, they respond back at 10 am, I respond back a 11am ( I work, not always on my phone) then they don’t respond at all. Call them at 4:23, then I’m on hold for 23 minutes, someone picks up then hangs up. May sound dramatic but someone could be dying or have an underlying issue and the urgency is not there. Looking to switch OBGYN, they’re quick to draw blood but any actual concerns, are not met.

The neurosurgeon was amazing. However, having a patient wait 7 hours for an ICU bed after brain surgery is unacceptable. Saying there is a shortage of beds when a surgery has been planned and you knew the patient was going to need to be in an ICU bed is an excuse for a hospital that prioritizes profit over patient well being. It’s a shame that an amazing neurology team is negatively affected by the hospital bureaucracy. If you are considering having a planned surgery here, look at your other options to ensure the patient receives the best after care and treatment possible.

3 weeks ago the the cyst in my knee was so painful that it was bringing me to tears. I was told by several locals they could drain it at the main hospital here in Lakeland. I went to the ER, they said they don’t do that here but their “urgent care” does right around the corner. This “urgent care” told me there was absolutely nothing they could do and I would need to wait to see an orthopedic doctor during daytime hours at their main clinic. I then went back to the ER to tell them what they had said to me, and after speaking with their doctors in the back about it, they apologized as they misunderstood the situation and there was, indeed, nothing they could do.

All this back and forth, and they still billed me over 400 dollars.

After several experiences there with my boyfriend needing help in the past and getting poorly treated and we walk out untreated, Lakeland Regional Health, I cannot say this enough: you are AWFUL.

WARNING WARNING. My husband Dr told him to go to er. But let’s verify the er can take you. Which they did say they could take me Dr setup medical transport because he is in hospital bed and he has to use a specialized wheelchair. He gets there and right off. They denied him. He said that he needs to be medial transfer to a different hospital. They denied him. Then they threatened him to leave the hospital now. He said I don’t walk. They then said. We will scoop you up and put you on bench outside in the cold and he needs to figure out what to do. After his dr and medical staff argue they did finally transferred him. But back home. 911 was call again then he had to be rushed to ormc to take care of what needed to be done. They could have killed my husband if they thought him on the streets. We are taking this to the fullest. He want and apologize from them or terminated this was way uncalled for for. Just imagine if it was someone that could not speak and they did that. The Dr needs to be prosecuted

The nurses on d-4320, especially Caitlin, have given exceptional treatment for my wife. She and I much appreciate all that the hospital and the doctors and nurses have done for us. Keep up the good work!
