Went for a Homebase kitchen design today and couldn't believe how nice the showroom was. They had everything you could ever want and the designer was really helpful in helping me with my project! We ended up getting our bathroom from here as well and can't wait for it to be completed.

I’ll admit, I only tend to visit Homebase around Christmas when I’m stocking up on new lights and related fixings. That said, every visit has been a great experience!

The shop usually has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, and I’ve never had to wait long in a queue. The staff are always helpful and seem genuinely interested when I explain why I’m buying so many Christmas lights—which adds a fun, personal touch to the shopping trip.

For anyone looking for holiday essentials, Homebase is definitely worth a visit!

I urgently needed gas for my barbecue and headed to Homebase St Albans close to closing time. I was met by an absolute gentleman who was calm, helpful, and an amazing communicator. He assisted me in purchasing a new attachment and gas cylinder for my old propane tank without any rush. I'm incredibly thankful for the outstanding service and highly recommend this store.

Be aware of customer service before buying anything from this organisation!

I purchased 5l of Homebase own brand paint this last Sunday, unfortunately during transit (10 min residential drive) this spilled into my boot space and totally covered the boot in around 1 inch of paint.

I contacted Homebase querying the quality control on their lids given it was clearly not securely fastened and they would take on no liability. Nor would they entertain providing cleaning equipment to help rectify what is extensive internal damage to the car.

What should have been an afternoon of painting turned into an awful experience that has cost a significant amount of time and money to resolve.

If Homebase take this approach to customer service over £24 tin of paint and £40 carpet cleaner hire then I would be extremely wary of their policy to more expensive tools, appliances and kitchens. In short they have badly shaken my confidence in how they treat their customers. Be aware before buying!!

Took a broken lawnmower here, one of the staff members didn’t even make eye contact with me and was rude just said to someone else it works fine and to bring it back with a video of it not working
Take it to Leighton buzzard Homebase and they apologise for them saying that and say they should have just taken the refund no questions
Lady on returns desk was lovely but manager and some lad with tattoos not so much

I bought rug they said I can change, know they changed today 3 days after I bought refund don’t give my money back, they said I can now they are so unfair so rubbish so disrespectful with client. They are not responsible for the product, don’t buy anything at home base.
