I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place. Jake the manager is seriously the nicest guy ever and more than happy to talk to you even if it’s just over unsexy surf fishing tackle. I live in Carlsbad and we have great tackle shops around but the over an hour drive is worth it to come here just because the experience is so great. I came back a second time for another reel they were getting in stock and the orders hadn’t arrived. Jake was happy to ship it to my house when it did come, spooled and everything. Awesome service. Looking forward to coming back to update my offshore setup.

I called every single tackle shop out there to repair my Japanese fishing reel. It took a while but man at least they took on a challenge or went into unknown waters man. I truly truly truly appreciate what this shop has done for me. Not to mention, they’re one of the only shops I’ve seen bringing the Japanese market into the US. Once you go JDM you don’t go back.

Adam and David were the best!

Adam took time to answer my dad’s questions and patiently explained that the “fishing rod” be brought was, in fact, an old car antenna.

David addressed my concerns of looking like a filthy casual in front of people on my first charter of the season after not fishing during COVID.

10/10 will come here for the rest of my life thanks to these professional and very wise young people.

Mixed emotions...... ?
Today I walked in the store like always...... Happy to see all this cool fishing stuff I can't afford and a excited for the dump bins!
Freaking clearance bins full of discounted products! SCORE!!!
Then the bad part.
Fishermans Access now has anti-theft devices all over the store because of shoplifting.
What little shred of faith I had in humanity just flew out the window.
I didn't buy anything today because money is tight so I just looked around with a friend who had purchased a few things. Definitely put a damper on our time there. Everybody's just trying to make a living and survive this chaotic world and when I see that..... Scum of the earth taking advantage..... knowingly shoplifting..... kinda feel some barbaric punishment is acceptable… For a moment, only a moment.
HEY SCUM!
What if someone was slowly taking from YOU?
Waiting until you turn your back is turned and sneaking YOUR property YOU YOURSELF worked hard for? Stealing from YOU or YOUR family?

Best fishing store all around. Favorite place to come to before a fishing trip or session. Every employee is really knowledgeable on any kind of fish which is a plus. Don't be afraid to ask what to use with your rod or the type of fishing you are doing they are super helpful in every way. All around best store I've been to staff is the best real fisher man.. Customer service is the bestill come here before any other place.

Prices and selection are great on tackle.. reel service dept not so much. Avet come back worse than when I took it in. Wasn't grinding and started grinding first trip out after service. Talica 10 they left my side plate screws loose which then caused the reel to go backwards when reeling in. Grinding up the gear. Shimano service is fixing that now. Stay away from the reel service but tackle and selection is great and prices are great too.
