I took my 2009 Audi a3 to bingley MOT a few months back initially for a service and cam belt changed which I was happy with. Weeks later I started to get an intermittent oil level sensor light that eventually became permanent. I took the car to these guys who replaced the sensor and cleared the fault. This was fine for a day but then the light returned. All of a sudden the car then completely died on me. There was no dashboard and the car wouldn't start. I had my car recovered to bingley MOT and they advised (and charged me) for a dash cluster refurbishment (which I am now skeptical actually took place) as I now know they have run a new power wire to the dash and I never saw any proof of the work being done (or receipt from the refurb company). After a week or so they finally had the car running but the oil level sensor fault was still present. They said they had tested the wires and found no issues. They suggested they couldn't do anything else and that I needed to go to a specialist for the. To replace the wiring loom from the dash to the oil level sensor. I paid for my 'dash refurb' and left feeling disappointed but accepting that they couldn't fix this. The light was on ever since. Last week I let a mate have a look at the issue (as he's good) he looked and within an hour had identified and fixed the issue 'a broken wire roughly 6 inches from the sensor plug'. I didn't bother writing any review previously but knowing what I know now, that the fault was so easily fixed and identified I am gobsmacked that a so called technician couldn't locate this. It was right next to the plug that they unplugged to replace the sensor and was on the wires they apparently had tested and checked. I don't expect the garage to do anything about this now as this was a few months ago now but thought I would add this review as i now
1) I think I was overcharged for the 'sensor issue'
2) think their technicians need some training
3) I now think they may have been dishonest about sending the dash cluster away for a refurb.
If they wish to respond to this review I would be happy to discuss.

See image for the glaringly obvious fault. And the invoice for £391.40 for the instrument cluster being sent away for repair when this was just a power wire added. This is what I meant by overcharged...

I was so impressed with the service I received today I felt compelled to leave a review. I needed an urgent MOT test and called at 2pm Friday - by 5pm it was done. I'm sure they'd rather have been clocking off for Friday night, but they squeezed my job in for me.
Brilliant!

I first took my car in for a MOT and rear tyre change. They did a fantastic job and kept me informed on the prices.
They were professional and polite with humour and detailed report.
I then went back for the front brakes changed and a full service. As it was a warranty service, they stuck to the needs for the warranty to be still valid. Filled the log book and again a detailed report.
I work in Bingley, so I took a chance, but these guys are now my goto mechanics for my needs.

I need some paintwork repairs, and they even pointed me in the right direction for this to be sorted.
Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Called the garage with a DPF fault on my van and they fit me in the next day! Dropped the van off at 8:30am and had a call at 10am after they had chance to have a look at it with a price for the repairs. The van was ready the same day and was cheaper than they quoted as it didn't need one of the parts. The guys are all super helpful and even picked up a long running fault that other garages hadn't been able to find. The van is now driving like a dream. Fantastic service, Would highly recommend.

Arrogant and racist people working at this garage. Would not help a 64yr old woman I left my phone at home and needed help. I came in due to my tyre bursting on the bypass I drove into the petrol station and called into this garage where a young lad said he would change the tyre for me if I had it. Less than 10 mins later, I drove the car round and spoke to another middle aged man at this garage and explained I called in before and that they said they would change the tyre. This man yelled we are busy we can't change it , he was so rude and he disrespectfully and arrogantly walked away. I do not recommend anyone going here, I did not go there for a free service I wanted to pay to get my tyre sorted to get back home.

Booked my car in for an MOT with a bonnet release handle that was broken (my fault) forgot to inform them at the time.
However after I returned 11 hours later to collect the car I was informed "the car could not be tested because I can't open the bonnet."
No phone call was made to me while the car was sat there for hours on end. If they had I would have informed them if you pull on the cable it releases the bonnet. But then I'd have expected a mechanic to know this already.

Very pleased with the service offered by Bingley MOT. My broken down car abandoned on their forecourt on Sunday, they diagnosed problem and fixed it by Tuesday morning. No fuss, about not being booked in, contacted me with price by Monday lunchtime. Really grateful for this professional and flexible service. Thank you.
