When a man wants a place to decompress this is the place to go! When you want to shop for your man...go here! From hunting to camping, guns to archery, land and sea vessels, clothing shoes and hats...I mean it has everything for a man with outdoors hobbies and passions. It is also an outdoor display of animals, a fish tank with live bass, 2 water falls. I love coming here! A huge archery and guns selection. Plenty of ammo and accessories. It is amazing. The staff is really nice and helpful so feel free to ask questions.

This place is huge! They have a very large indoor fish tank, with local fish! There’s an indoor water fall. The amount of things that they have from boating to hunting, is unbelievable! I saw signs for an indoor shooting range for guns and bows. They also have a shooting gallery for the kids. They sell industrial dehydrator! None of those cheap dehydrator that will only last for so long.

As a hunter enthusiast, I really like Bass Pro Shops.
This store has a lot of stuff you'd need, from good rifles and to camo clothes and great optics. The hunting section is easy to find, and the staff are really helpful with advice and recommendations. The store’s hunting-themed decorations and displays make it even more fun to visit. The taxidermy is always enjoyable to see! Overall, it’s a great place for hunters to find gear and enjoy the hunting vibe.

This is one of the largest Bass Pro shops I have been in and one of the nicest. I really enjoyed the outside waterfall area and the kids enjoyed the big catfish in the outside pond. The elevator in the middle of the store has a glass window for a great view. I loved the separate fishing area in the back. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a trip with the family. We purchased some pool items and some snacks.

first of all, the store is HUGE.
we took a while to browse the place. the decor is spectacular and really gets you into that vibe as if you were in the wild because of all the dissected animals that are there. it even has an aquarium and and a waterfall.
definitely heaven for people who practice hunting or camping ?

I am very disappointed in the last few visits/experiences I have had with Bass Pro in San Antonio. This used to be a place with helpful, energetic employees and now it feels like a poorly run Walmart that carries outdoor gear. The last time I was in there I was struggling to find a product and decided to wait in line at the gun counter as that was the nearest employee I could find. As I was waiting I saw two employees sitting to the right of the gun counter at a desk. One of them yelled across the store at me in a frustrated tone "If you need help at the gun counter, grab a ticket and wait until you are called!" I approached them as I hadn't noticed them before and let them know I didn't need any help with guns but a tool relating to guns. They again in a frustrated tone directed me by pointing towards the knife section "they should be somewhere over there." I walked in that direction and looked back as I wasn't seeing anything related to what I was looking for and asked "which aisle?" and they said "I don't know maybe the next one." I continued looking around and never found the tool I was looking for and they never got out of their chairs to assist me. More recently, today I called and asked to be transferred to the archery department the staff transferred me and it rang 4-5 times and I was put back to customer service. I explained again that I was wanting to be transferred to archery and they put me through. Again no answer. This happened twice more before the customer service employee said "I don't know where they're at maybe call back in 30 minutes. " I get people may be busy but it is easy to pick up a phone and explain that you can't take a call right now. Better yet write down the number of the person calling you and give them a call back when you aren't busy any longer. I work in customer service and have never let a phone ring through to voicemail and always put them on a hold or take down their number to call back even when I have 30 people in front of me in the shop waiting for service. Other recent experiences have been similar and it is really frustrating to see. I urge any potential customers to shop at smaller stores where you might actually receive quality customer service. As for Bass Pro Shops; reconsider the people you employ and retrain them if necessary, I used to receive excellent customer service at this location and now I never want to go back.

One of my favorite bass pro shops I’ve been to! Really cool displays all over, like a huge waterfall, a North American or African animal mount with the map of its native range beside it, a fun little shooting gallery arcade, food, and all the sporting goods a bass pro offers!
