GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE ESPECIALLY FOR COURT ORDERED ASSESSMENTS AND CLASSES. They don’t care to give you fair treatment, they genuinely only care about money. First, I was quoted over the phone by Molly that it was $35 for an assessment , then was billed $300+. I got an assesment from somewhere else but to receive the results it would put me past my court deadline to submit them. So I came here and explained the situation they guranteed me they could make the deadline. They ended up recommending almost triple amount of classes than the other assesment and did not even submit the assessment to the court on time. It was also the receptionist who does the assessments and relays the information to the actual therapist. Luckily, I received my first assesment although I did have to submit it late but once I submitted it and completed the classes I got my case dismissed. No help to them. Go to SEQUOIA COUNSELING FOR A FAIR AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE. This place is literally a scam. I can also post picture proof of the first quote then the bill that came, then them guaranteeing the court deadline then missing it if needed. Don’t walk, RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Amethyst Center for Healing, and Jana Fulmer changed my life. As a trans person recovering from trauma, this was a safe haven that is irreplaceable. I was given space and tools to start discovering more about myself and how to grow when in a place of pain.

I also really respect what they do— not only working with victims of violence but those who have hurt others. This reparative justice ethos is inspiring and part of a future that focuses on rehabilitation not punitive systems.

I’m so much happier with my life, and a lot of that has to do with the empowerment and trust I was given at Amethyst to start making decisions in my life that were more focused and less reactionary. Jana showed true care and empathy towards me, and helped me feel supported and valued. I can’t recommend enough!

I have been coming to Amethyst Center for Healing since 2016, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Between all of their staff, they have the experience, know-how, and empathy to help you navigate life's challenges and assist you in the troubles that you've picked up along the way. Jana has assisted me through plenty of hardships, and given me a safe space to shine a light on my darkest wounds. I am forever grateful for the profound healing that has taken place here.

In reference to other reviews: I can't speak on somebody else's personal experience, but I have never been ignored when trying to schedule an appointment, and I have been shown nothing but respect and care when seeking help.

It is a amazing thing in this day and age to find caring compassionate therapists who listen and guide you through the challenges of attempting to navigate the trauma of life past and present. Who truly care for there patients. I feel truly blessed to find this place . thanks Martha and Janna.

I read other reviews and wanted to clarify that these wonderful ladies not only work with trauma victims but with offenders . Most offenders need help but are often angry and many are going to therapy to avoid jail. I will always give them 5 stars , they do not have a fancy office or lots of staff thats because they are not in this profession to get rich . They care for people , It is a safe place to heal. Remember therapists are people to, and they do not have to put up with people who are aggressive or dangerous. I give them all the stars in the sky ,

Jana and Martha saved my life, literally. They create an environment of safety, kindness, and calm. They are willing to help with financial plans. They are truly interested in you as a person and not just a patient.

Multiple emails sent, with no response. Phone calls made, no response... Even their outgoing message for phone calls is rude. "If you don't leave a message.... We can't call you back" (with a very condescending attitude thrown in.) So I left my name and number twice, as well as recommending that if the email option is not valid, maybe they should correct the issue. No call back. Nothing.
This is NEVER a good thing for a survivor of trauma to experience. We already feel less than human because we've already been treated that way, some of us extensively! For a "helping" agency/company to go out of their way to increase that impression for survivors is beyond deplorable.

I’ve had an incredible experience working with Martha and the other women at Amethyst. Every time I come in, I’ve been met with courtesy, empathy and understanding.

On a difficult journey to understand myself, and my inner dialogues’ prolific book of insults, Amethyst has been essential to the progress I’ve seen so far.

I was new to everything in regards to therapy of any kind and this quirky, loving and wisened staff have made my attempt at healing as pleasant as I could have ever hoped.

Thank you all so very much.

P.S. Please don’t trust these nameless complainers on this review, at least use your personal account if you have a legitimate issue. And if it actually legitimate, not reactionary, the team at Amethyst would absolutely work with you to sort it out. My first session had some hiccups to the point that I missed my first session entirely, but I calmly, politely talked to them via FB messenger and email, they got me in as soon as was possible. Couldn’t ask for more.
