I have worked here for 2 1/2 months in the scale house. Very hostile Negative and rude coworkers and management. Yelling at truck drivers as well as customers and staff. Unprofessional environment get better WM your reputation is being ruined by a few rotten eggs…. Misery loves company to bad not mine….. People Quit bad management not jobs….

Foul Odor and Poor Management at skyland

I live near the landfill in Ferris and have been dealing with persistent foul odors for the last several months. The smell of decomposing trash is overwhelming and seems to get worse every day. It often makes it difficult to enjoy being outside or even keep our windows open, especially during warmer weather. The odor is strong enough to cause headaches and nausea for myself and others in the neighborhood.

This landfill does not seem to be managed properly, and I’m concerned they might be violating environmental standards. The problem has been ongoing despite repeated complaints from the community. It feels like nothing is being done to address the issue, and the quality of life for residents in the surrounding area is suffering.

I urge the management to take immediate action to address the odor issue and to properly maintain and manage the landfill according to environmental regulations. It’s time to prioritize the health and well-being of the surrounding community.

I was hit by one of y’all’s equipment on march 11th. Still nobody wants to answer the phone and I have not got any help. If I do not get a response I will be contacting an attorney to follow through. The insurance company y’all hired for this is a joke and does not like to answer Phone calls or Emails. Do I need to start posting and going to corporate?

This is not free to Eliss residents as it states. They charge a $159 entrance fee and weight feet. You also have to have a hardhat and vest to go here. Stay away from if your a resident!!!

Went to this place for the first time today and these reviews for high cost for dumping trash are true and ridiculous. The part about this place has no cost to residents are false. The ladies that were working today and also the manger didn’t want to tell me which cities are no cost. Typical info the public needs to know unless they are just taking people money. 137$ to dump, plus fees for hard hats and yellow vest which didn’t seem as a requirement to wear being me and my sons was the only people wearing them. Manager didn’t want to talk about it, feels like a ripoff.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews before I went to this landfill. They measure your trailer and charge you by the size of your trailer and by the weight. My load was not very heavy and I was charged $245 because I had wooden size on my trailer that made it taller. But, the load was only 2 feet tall in the bottom of the trailer. That did not matter!. I took a larger load to McCommas landfill and it was $80. This place is a complete rip off.

I called to get some information on bringing old manufactured homes to the landfill to be disposed of. Rosie was very nice and helpful.
I just want to add that I also talked with Richard who is very sweet and helpful !!!
